The different treatment and recovery centers As a result of the increasing growth of alcohol abuse and dependency throughout the US, there are literally dozens of alcohol/drug addiction treatment and recovery centers currently available to help the suffering alcoholic. These will vary from one facility to the next in the types of treatment methods and recovery therapies that they offer. There are two basic formats where alcohol and drug rehab is concerned - the traditional facility and the alternative or residential treatment and recovery centers. Additionally, you have out-patient and in-patient or residential programs that are offered. Out-patient programs are not recommended for the individual that has a severe dependency issue and needs acute detoxification accompanied with prescribed medications. When this is the case, in-patient alcohol treatment is the only option that will help the individual. These are more commonly referred to as "residential" programs because they involve staying in the addiction treatment and recovery facility for a certain period of time. Typically, in-patient alcohol treatment programs are broken down into short-term stay or long-term stay. The short-term programs can be as brief as 14 days whereas the long-term programs can last up to 3 or 4 months, depending on the severity of the person's addiction and how long they have been alcohol dependent. Unfortunately, the traditional in-patient programs exhibit far lower success rates than the alternative programs do. About our treatment and recovery center The Narconon Freedom Center offers alternative in-patient alcohol treatment and recovery programs that have the highest success rates in the US. When the individual leaves our program, there is 70% or greater chance that they will remain clean and sober for the rest of their lives. Compare this to the clinic or hospital like traditional facility that has a failure rate of up to 80%, meaning that 4 out of every 5 of their clients will eventually relapse into their addiction when they return to society. About our alternative in-patient treatment programs In addition to the fact that our in-patient alcohol treatment programs can be customized to suit the specific needs of the addicted individual, the Narconon Freedom Center also offers a variety of recovery tools that enable the person to achieve a complete recovery. In so doing, they return home to their communities as the contributing and productive persons that they once were before their alcohol dependency began controlling their lives. Most importantly, they remain clean and sober without ever relapsing.
